Family Radiation Dose Estimate

This tool estimates how much radiation each family member receives from your home’s radon level each year, based on their typical living patterns. It does not measure exact dose, but it shows how radon can affect people differently within the same home.

Family Radiation Dose Report

Generated on:

Home radon level
pCi/L (lowest lived-in level)

This level is used to estimate each family member’s annual radiation dose from radon.

How to read this report

Most radon guidance is based on generalized metrics. This report is different. It shows how radon affects each person in your home based on where they spend their time. The doses shown here are estimates, not precise medical measurements, and are intended to be considered together with your Navigator Home Report and other tools.

Individual dose estimates
Person / role Estimated annual dose (mSv) Context

Context descriptions compare each person’s estimated dose to typical U.S. background radiation.

Using this information

Different people in the same home can receive different amounts of radiation from the same radon level. This report helps you see who has the highest meaningful exposure while still making a decision that fits your whole family. Some families choose to mitigate now, others choose to monitor and plan. These individualized dose estimates are one piece of information to consider alongside your radon level, your home’s characteristics, and your family’s circumstances.
