Radon Navigator™ Assisted Pathway
Personalized Support for Your Radon Needs
Sometimes it helps to have someone walk through the process with you. The Navigator‑Assisted Pathway gives you access to a trained guide who can help you understand your radon test results, compare contractor bids, and think through your options at a pace that feels comfortable.
Our role is to provide clarity, structure, and steady support — not to sell services or steer you toward any particular decision. We don’t perform mitigation, we don’t receive referral fees, and we don’t have financial ties to contractors.
Our only goal is to help you make informed, confident choices based on your home, your budget, and your comfort level.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or simply want a second set of eyes on your bids or mitigation plan, we’re here to help you move forward with calm, unbiased guidance.
Here is What We Offer:
🧪Free Radon Testing:
The Radon Navigator ™ program provides initial radon testing to those who have not tested and follow-up testing to those who have. All radon tests include evidence-based radon awareness material. Click Here to apply for a free test.
🧭Evaluation and Guidance:
Through personalized consultations, families will be led to understand their test results, evidence-based mitigation thresholds, actionable options as it relates to the test result, and what to expect and require from mitigators and mitigations.
🛠️Access to High Quality Mitigators:
If radon levels dictate mitigation, program participants will be directed to a network of ethical, certified radon mitigators who adhere to EPA Radon Standards of Practice including the U.S. Mitigation Action Level of 4.0 pCi/L, national Soil Gas Testing and Mitigation Standards, and the Utah Radon Coalition's exacting standards.
🤝Family Representation in the Process:
A trained Radon Navigation Specialist will serve as liaison and advocate for families as they work with mitigators during the mitigation contracting phase, and through the mitigation process.
💰Financial Assistance Options:
If funding is available, the Utah Radon Coalition will provide free or low-cost mitigation to qualified low-income families (Click Here for more information). If not, the Radon Navigator ™ program will direct families to mitigators within the mitigator network that provide vetted ethical loans or to financial entities that do the same.
🧰Empowering Families with Mitigation Options:
If funding to hire a mitigator is impossible to obtain, the Radon Navigator ™ program will provide families with do it yourself (DIY) mitigation materials and guidance from a certified radon mitigator.
⚖️Assistance with Consumer Rights Issues:
Sometimes protecting consumer rights means taking action against mitigation companies. The Radon Navigator™ program helps families with complaints about radon services understand their options and choose the best path forward.
